Gavan and Kaye Kennaugh started out providing earthmoving services to the local Echuca community in 1981.

Just over 20 years later, and with many successful projects under their belt, Gavan and Kaye made the natural step to open a sand and soil yard in 2004. Given the success of these endeavours, it was an easy evolution for the Kennaugh’s to become the go-to for all things gardening.

With 40 years’ experience in the industry, Gavan and Kaye Kennaugh have built a highly-respected, professional operation, providing expert advice and top-notch service for all your landscaping, earthmoving and outdoor living needs.

Meet Gavan

As co-founder of Kennaugh’s Garden Centre, Gavan is actively involved across all aspects of the business. To ensure customers always receive the one-on-one, friendly service they have come to expect from Kennaugh’s, Gavan has appointed an expert manager in each department to handle the day-to-day operations.

Meet Helen

Helen has been a part of the Kennaugh’s team for close to 16 years. She is practically one of the family! Her role is to assist Gavan in the management of the earthmoving services, and her skills and experience can be relied upon to get the job done right.

Meet Jade

With 7 years working with Kennaugh’s, Jade’s gardening expertise is utilised in her role as Nursery Manager. Along with providing expert plant advice to customers, her knowledge of outdoor living products is second-to-none.

Helping the local area

At Kennaugh’s Garden Centre, we actively participate and contribute to our local community.

We participate in National Tree Day each year, and raised money to have a McGrath Breast Care Nurse support Echuca by donating proceeds from the sales of pink shovels.

We help out with major fundraising events for local community groups and are sponsors of Echuca Football Club, Moama-Echuca Borders Raiders Soccer Association and Echuca South Cricket Club. We have also donated helicopter and pilot hire for fundraising golf ball drops for various charities.

Murray River preservation

Gavan and the earthmoving team at Kennaugh’s Garden Centre have contributed to the sustainability of the Murray River.

Our work in constructing retaining walls, marinas, and boat ramps along the Murray, has helped preserve the riverbanks from erosion and made the river more accessible for locals and holidaymakers.
