Psidium guajava

A tropical/subtropical Guava, which can be grown indoors!

Characteristics:
Evergreen tree with white flowers in summer followed by rounded yellow to green skinned fruits with juicy, sweet white flesh containing seeds. Fruit can be eaten fresh from the tree, poached, used in jams and pastes and in salads, desserts and juices.

Needs:
– Full sun to part shade
– Rich, well-drained soil in a protected area
– If growing in a pot, premium potting mix
– Keep well-watered for best results – drought sensitive. Mulching is recommended
– Protect from frost
– Feed with slow-release fertiliser in spring
